Documentarian Matt Wolf charts the genesis of the Biosphere 2, a large-scale, man-made environment that effectively reproduces the earth's ecosystem in its most natural state. First constructed by a group of ecologists and engineers between 1987 and 1991, Biosphere 2 created the ideal conditions to test the limits of experimental isolation in an idyllic human environment.
