Special Services, Britain's elite fighting unit
It's 1941. France has fallen. Europe is currently under occupation. The tattered remnants of the British Expeditionary Force have retreated home. Britain now hangs by a thread, and the situation grows more desperate every day. With little standing between Hitler and a full-on invasion of the British homeland, they hatch a plan that would employ their newest unit and gain an item vital to the war effort.
Success could reverse the tide.
Private Benton Willoughby, most recently of the Irish Guards and a veteran of the Norwegian Campaign, never wanted to kill anyone. But he isn't shying away from the fight as his mates are dying around him, either. After being wounded in Norway, during the Allied retreat, an officer from a specialized unit makes him an intriguing and highly dangerous offer.
With little to lose but his life, and with so much at stake, how can he refuse?
