Twelve-year-old Ali invited his friend Dylan, an Australian, to visit his ancestral home in the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates. Bored, hot, and hungry, the boys head to the beach, where they find Ali's grandfather fishing. He tells them stories of exploring the surrounding islands when he was a boy.
Finally, when Ali agrees to take his young cousin, Tarek, with them, they are allowed to take Grandfather's fishing boat out by themselves. The boys decide it's time for some fun, but can they survive the wild seas?
