When Leo is diagnosed with leukemia, his father, Luis Roberto, is willing to do anything as long as it does not involve needles. Luis Roberto enters a competition to win a dog that will save his son's life. He gets the prize, but Leo will not accept it unless the boy with whom he shares a hospital room gets saved as well.
