The Aftermath of War
provides insights into the unseen and undertreated injuries from exposure to traumatic stress. Throughout this book, you will hear my own experiences as a Vietnam combat veteran, who served with the 11th Infantry Brigade in Southern I Corp. until being critically wounded in May of 1970. It is my intention to provide insight and observations related to my journey learning to manage, and live with, my post-traumatic stress conditions over the past 50+ years. Each of the chapters covers different information relating to understanding, and managing, the long-term impacts of exposure to traumatic stress. Hopefully you will find the material insightful and instructive in your own journey.
