In this second book of THE CHIP series, Emma and Lucas settle into uneasy lives apart. Emma tries to adapt to life in the Naturalist countryside, while Lucas attempts to embrace his new job in the Hybrid city. Despite the unborn child they share, rekindling what was lost seems galaxies away. Meanwhile, mastermind Archimedes builds his army and prepares them to incite global unrest by harnessing turbulence in the Crossbreed community and spreading it to Naturalist and Hybrid territory.
