The aim of this article is to deepen the discussion on Teacher Performance Evaluation and the perception of basic education teachers when they are evaluated. It leads us to reflect more broadly on the meaning of Teacher Performance Evaluation for the school community. What does it mean to be competent? What competences make a teacher competent? There are many questions surrounding the topic we are here to discuss.
