After the death of their mother, at the age of fifteen Mackayla Johansen and her twin brother Kenneth chose separate ways to grieve. While Mackayla quickly found comfort in attending a local Church, eight years later, Mackayla developed the habit of visiting her brother in jail, in the process annoying her brother, and catching the eyes of a complete stranger. Unbeknownst to Mackayla, this stranger would soon become her next door neighbor, whom she was tasked with sharing the word of God with. unsure of how to handle this task, Mackayla immersed herself in the word of God, and with the help of her elderly neighbor, Mackayla set out on the task to bring the Ex-convict back to God.
