Nine year old Sheldon Larsen is not normal like other kids his age. His childhood is not a happy one, his parents frequently argue, there is a baby on the way and he has an implant. While walking along his favourite beach he finds a medal under the sand which leads him to a person of influence who thinks that Sheldon's impressive mental abilities could be harnessed for use in an ongoing project with no time limit and only one goal, that is to achieve the impossible.
