The name came from their neighborhood which is called Hidden Valley. HVK was featured on the hit TV series Gangland. Roscoe Abell has been a feature in the Urban magazine ASIS. Roscoe has spent approximately 25 years out of his 43 years in prison. While in prison, Mr. Abell transformed the revolutionary culture. He is also the assistant Chairman of the WL NOLEN MENTORSHIP PROGRAM, which Kijana Tashiri Askari started in 2012. Mr Abell now goes by the Afrikan name "Kamau Askari Kambon." The WL NOLEN MENTORSHIP PROGRAM is a community-based abolition organization constructed to provide the people of our communities with to connect with conscious black revolutionaries on many fronts.
