The Gaiety Theatre presents "Faust Up to Date", a comic burlesque about a man who sold his soul.
Less than six miles away in Whitechapel, women are being viciously murdered. But, there is a horror closer to home as rotting pieces of women are washing up on the Thames foreshore, and the number of victims is growing. It seems that not one but two prolific murderers are simultaneously stalking London.
Fanny Robina has joined the Gaiety cast as "Young Faust" and finds herself in a time and place where women vanish from the streets, and the price of freedom could be death. As the company's lives intertwine, it becomes clear that not all are what they seem, and someone whose soul was truly sold is beneath their feet.
Based on real people and events, 'The House of Light and Air' tells the story of ordinary people in extraordinary times.
