For many years, science teaching has been mainly dedicated to the transmission of currently accepted knowledge, with little emphasis on the actual procedures for constructing science (Silva et al, 2009). Based on the construction of knowledge through play, quality education can be achieved by meeting the interests and needs of children in elementary school, together with the media. This work aims to analyze the different forms of influence of cartoons, identifying Pokémon types with "plant" characteristics. The knowledge of students in the 7th year of elementary school II was assessed through a questionnaire, in which it was observed that 80% of the students, through the influence of the cartoon, are able to distinguish and identify the relationship between the character and the real thing. The drawing in question can help students' development and interest in learning about botany. I would like to thank Professors André Costa Ferreira and Izabel Maria Ribeiro Côrtes for their guidance.
