Her mother had fulfilled one of her motherly duties by writing cooking instructions for her daughter to use, should the need arise, in a little cook book. When the little girl tries to use the cook book, she is unsure of herself and wishes she had help. The magic begins when the cooking utensils come to life. Aunty Rolling Pin, Toaster Man, Sauce Pan and all of the Kitchen People take turns teaching Mary Frances their area of expertise.
