Doctor Tari Delar had a lifelong goal to become a physician with Doctors Without Borders. Goal achieved, the brilliant and talented doctor uses her special skills to help improve the lives of those in need. While on her second assignment, she befriends a young girl who goes missing. The girl managed to get word to Tari that she is in danger and in desperate need of her assistance. Armed with both a plan and one of her other special skills, she sets out to rescue her young friend. Her search leads her to the streets of Rome, Italy - streets as mysterious as the twenty-kilometer labyrinth of hidden underground tunnels and mazes that spread out under them.
After facing down evil to recover her friend, Tari decides to take a brief vacation that is interrupted by a single phone call. A call that pulls her from her oasis and informs her that the past no longer wishes to remain in the past. In the end, Tari must accept the fact that the past has several parts. And while some parts were sorely missed and are welcomed back into the fold, others were making demands for closure...
