Biglow papers, T1113. The title of a series of satirical poems in the Yankee dialect by James Russell Lowell. They ap red in two pads. Part I., voicing the New ngiand oppo sition to the hiexican War, was brought out in 1848, and Part IL, concerned with the Civil War, Was published as late as 1867. The whole is under the fictitious editorshi of the Rev. Homer Wilbur. Lowell' 31 wit and 1111101 are here unstinted. Rapidly and with great per sonal delight the. Work was warmly received, and parts of it are still vot} popular.
