In June 1951 the United States Army began publishing PS, The Preventive Maintenance Monthly comic book magazine. PS stands for "postscript" as the publication is a postscript to technical manuals. Corporal Will Eisner illustrated and created this series. He has won many awards and has published numerous comic books. The Preventive Maintenance Monthly is still in publication and has over 700 issues.
