In The Seer, fourth volume of the Tales of Earden, newly embellished with 20 pen and ink illustrations by the author, we find Aolwynd's children, like flotsam tossed upon a warring sea. Lost children, re-united lovers, schemers and heroes all chased by their fates as war comes to Earden. And of course, Monk, the courageous crow, follows his friend Arius even to war.
