Elizabeth Williams was a good writer, however, she lacked the imagination needed to become a successful author. One day, she happened upon an unusual antique store, where she found a beautifully ornate, Peruvian game table, and fell in love, but it was not for sale. "The table must choose its owner," the proprietor tells her. And she became 'the chosen.'
When the table is delivered to her apartment, it becomes her 'partner', and she is able to go on many a fantastic (sometimes frightening) adventure from which her books are written. But the table, she calls Mr. Beau, has an unnatural attraction for her, and when she seems to be entertaining thoughts of a human man-friend, it becomes jealous, and determines to become her only love.
"The Table" is a paranormal novel bordering on light horror. It is a fun read and entertaining for the ones who just like to be a little bit scared. Wah-ha- ha.
