A reissue of
Merle
's later recuts of many of his biggest hits, almost a companion volume to the other
Kingfisher
anthology,
Silver Wings
. Like that set, these are serviceable enough versions, and
Hag
is in decent voice, but pass this one by and buy the original versions that were issued on
Capitol
instead (the
Razor & Tie
best-of is a good bet for this) to get a taste of the real thing and the man's true genius. ~ Cub Koda
