It's not every day you encounter a woman who has been on Earth 150 years and who wants you to travel across the Galaxy to solve an urgent problem. Tom Williams hadn't been planning to go on a trip anywhere. He has been content to explore his forest where he recently found a Galactic Exploration and Research Intelligence (G.E.R.I.) that he named GERI. GERI is able to become invisible which is helpful when DARPA and NASA come asking questions about strange happenings in the Kuiper Belt.
