Volcano Island is the last book in this Youth Author series. It tells the story of an island population that is threatened by an erupting volcano, and how the animals who live there overcome their differences and work together to save their home. All five books in this series were inspired by, or authored with young people. They are written in a way that will help kids to improve their reading ability. The earlier books in the series have text that is easier to read, with book five being the most textually advanced.
