, this record finds
Hood
favoring a dark machine-like feel with plenty of hard-hitting 909 drum beats and an assaulting array of swirling high-frequency laser-sounding loops. With the syncopated pounding and the maelstrom of looped laser sounds, a stark, austere motif pervades throughout these eight songs; unfortunately, the variety of experimental song ideas so common to his later work is notably absent. ~ Jason Birchmeier
