Gregorii IX. Pont. Max. Compilatio nova Decre talium, fol. Max. Mogunt; P. Schoffer, 1473. Edit. Prz'no. - This first and celebrated Edition is very in teresting to the history of Priming, for some bar barous Latin verses, which attribute the invention of printing to the two Jo/ms (guttemberg and Fust) and Peter Schwfler the first of whom invented the art, the second forwarded it with pecuniary assist. Ance, and the third, the first engraver of metallic types. There is also a person referred to in the concluding lines, who was correclor of the press to these first printers.
