The design of this work is to perpetuate the memory of our worthy ancestor, Benjamin Chamberlain, and to gather in one volume for preservation the names of his many descendants.
We have made. It our earnest endeavor to make the work as complete as possible. But owing to a lack of interest in the matter, some for reasons best known to themselves, failed to respond to inquiries for information, and thus many family records are incomplete.
