Julia Jones, Stephen McHattie, and Aden Young star in this adaptation of James R. Stevens' novella "Angelique Abandoned." Based on a true story, it fictionalizes a newly married Anishinaabe woman's struggle to survive a punishing winter on Lake Superior's Isle Royale during the great copper rush of 1845. She turns to faith to protect her and her husband from malnutrition and madness. Directed by Marie-H?l?ne Cousineau and Michelle Derosier.
