It examines the biblical text to draw out the lessons on labor embedded in the larger narrative and assess their implications for contemporary socio-economic issues. The analysis reveals a dichotomy of labor that runs through the Exodus narrative, operating between the pre-liberation and post-liberation as well as between different perspectives on labor.
