After the excitement of Florida, Andi realizes just how dangerous things are for Elle. Unfortunately, they still don't know why Elle is in so much danger and Andi's not sure how to get the information she needs. Aside from these problems, Andi still has to concentrate on her training if she wants to stay alive in her increasingly dangerous world. As Andi continues to hone her magical and physical skills, she's not only faced with her feeling for Mikkiver, her gorgeous trainer, but is also trying to handle the guilt of killing for the first time and knowing if she doesn't figure things out soon, it won't be the last time. It doesn't look like things are getting any easier for this sentinel in training, and Andi will have to worker hard than ever because more than just her life is on the line.
