Bai Juyi was the Tang Dynasty poet who composed the most extended regulated verses after Du Fu. This book compiles 204 of Bai Juyi's extended regulated verses-including both five-character and seven-character forms-arranged chronologically by their creation dates. Each poem is accompanied by an interpretation that seeks to unveil its ideological and emotional essence as well as its artistic stylistic features. Through this chronological framework, the work visually traces the developmental trajectory of Bai Juyi's extended regulated verse composition.

赵建梅，2002年毕业于中国社会科学院研究生院文学系，获文学博士学位，主攻中国古代文学，唐宋文学方向。现为首都经济贸易大学文化与传播学院副教授。独立出版专著《晚年白居易与洛下诗人群研究》《心安是归处：白居易诗歌空间书写研究》。
Zhao Jianmei, who earned her Ph.D. in Literature in 2002 from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences with a focus on classical Chinese literature, specializing in Tang and Song poetry, is currently an associate professor at the School of Culture and Communication, Capital University of Economics and Business. She has independently published two monographs: A Study of Bai Juyi's Later Years and the Luoyang Poetic Circle and Where the Heart Finds Peace: Spatial Narratives in Bai Juyi's Poetry.
