This book has been designed to meet the needs of Lincoln Law students who need to understand the substantive law, to qualify to take the California State Bar Exam. All of the major law doctrines are provided in this publication and have been arranged in an order consistent with the traditional study of law. I have devoted twelve chapters to the study of contracts. In the real world, unless one passes contracts, or can make up the balance from the other first-year courses, criminal law and torts, you just don't get to go forward.
All of the courses that follow the first year are better understood once one understands contracts, torts, and criminal law. Getting a good grasp of the basic courses is necessary to understand the general principles of law.
