Set within an Austrian refugee camp just after WW II, this British comedy drama centers upon the tense relationship between a proper British officer and his multilingual interpreter. The problems begin when the officer learns that the translator is actually a Russian deserter. Wanting to do the right thing, the officer wants to send him back to the Soviet Union, but another soldier attempts to stop him.
