Sebastian "Seth" Von Miere was introduced to the hard-partying rock star lifestyle at a young age. The grandson of eccentric '80s glam metal singer/hotel owner Nicholas Von Miere, big-haired Seth spent most of his childhood traveling between Hollywood and Vegas with his grandfather's band. Finally the family settled in the futuristic world of Moonrise City, where the '80s version of Sunset Strip and all its leather-and-hairspray glory is alive and well. Growing up without parents, twelve-year-old Seth is curious about his past and is quickly turning into the wayward son everyone feared.
Then one night, his parents show up out of the blue, and Seth witnesses them commit a horrifying mass murder and kidnapping. Feeling like he is to blame, he follows his parents and the victim (who has ties to the Von Miere family) all the way to the lecherous magician Nattskatta, who is looking for new cast members for his post-apocalyptic freak show. Seth is also determined to expose the very dark secret behind the madness before he falls into the deadly trap himself. Nicholas and his bandmates race to save Seth and the victim and make a glamalicious new friend and bandmate along the way. But soon the gang find themselves caught up in Nattskatta's world of depravity, where every second is a fight for survival and one misstep might just kill you.
