The candle-making craft dates back to early America and was created mainly as a necessity for light. Today we enjoy watching the flickering light from our candle and are relaxed by the soothing aroma that fills the room. My desire to create candles began years ago when we had our cabin Up North. Our neighbor raised bees and encouraged me to use his beeswax for candle-making. After melting pieces of the beehive in a pot of water, I was amazed to find a thick layer of golden-colored wax floating on the top. The air filled with a honey-scented aroma. A new hobby was born.
