Charlotte enjoys her days in her cozy city apartment. But one morning, Mrs. Johnson puts her in the carrier and into a car. Soon they arrive at a new house where everything is strange. The sky is vast, the air moves, and everything is so very green. And worst of all, the noisy neighbors cry, squeak, oink, and bleat all day long.
