When her vapid boyfriend (Alex Moffat) dumps her just before Christmas, a young woman (Brittany Snow) finds herself with nowhere to go. Determined to restore a sense of the holiday spirit, she visits her ex-boyfriend's family, who welcome her with open arms. A chance encounter with her ex's handsome and down-to-earth cousin (Justin Long) allows sparks to fly. She begins to realize just what she wants in life while rediscovering her own sense of self.
