The deepest reflection is probably the text suggesting a new functional distinction between filosofia e teologie, philosophy and theologies - after a revision of the traditional relationship between philosophy and theology, stressing the role of institutional censorship in perverting the nature of philosophy. Theology enslaving philosophy is however a fair translation of ancilla theologiae.
