Thermostats programmed with AI text read as existential, oracular responses to a dramatically changing environment
In response to the titular question, American artist Cooper Jacoby (born 1989) programs thermostats inserted into sculptures with continuously evolving text generated by AI. The tone of the narrative changes according to the heat and humidity in the exhibition space.
