Robin heard the shots.
They were a distraction. Unimportant. His head hurt. He'd had too much to drink post rehearsal, and there was still so much to do before Opening Night.
Adjustments. Stitching. Redesigning.
And major life decisions in the offing. Decisions affecting his future. And his relationship with Alex.
Better not to think about it.
Not to know that Alex had come by. Stopped in the costume shop to leave the replacement gun for the show.
That someone had exchanged bullets for blanks.
And someone else now lay dead on his costume shop floor.
Robin closed his eyes and slept.
