THE SETTING: Red Feather, a small town, high in the Northern Colorado Rockies. THE CHARACTERS: Jackie Reed, a local realtor, calls bingo games on Saturday nights. One cold, wet night a local man is murdered in the parking lot. A day later, Jackie is stunned by what she discovers in an old cabin she is trying to sell. She barely escapes with her life. She and her old friend, George Ferrell, owner of the general store, search for connections between the murder and her discovery. THE CLUES: a stolen car, a sack of money, drugs, and notes from a woman who promises the murder victim what he wants. THE KILLER: The bigamist ex-wife? An elderly woman the dead man seduced and stole money from? A handyman? A man he fought over fishing rights? A secret partner-in-crime? Someone who believes the murdered man killed his son? THE COMPLICATIONS: Jackie, a divorced, single mom, receives a proposal of marriage from the handsome deputy sheriff she is dating-when an old flame, her first true love, shows up.
