A Boston schoolteacher (Karen Young) moves to Texas for a new job, and becomes involved with a Texan lawyer (Clayton Day) who is preoccupied with weapons and violence. When he attempts to date-rape her on their second meeting, she takes justice (and a gun) into her own hands. The film was originally titled Handgun.
