The third volume of the Genshagener Schriften series takes a look at Germany 25 years after reunification: In what state is the country as of today? What is it that makes Germany special? In which direction is Germany heading? How do Germany's neighbours in France and Poland perceive these developments? Five relevant policy fields or areas of society will be explored from three national perspectives respectively, with contributions from authors from Germany as well as from France and Poland: Germany in Europe and Europe in Germany, Germany's role in the world, Being German today: chances of the individual to participate in society, Economy and Society, the Berlin Republic and its values.
