Liz Denton, owner of the Furever Pets animal rescue, heads out to deliver a Maine Coon cat to a new home. When she arrives however, the would be pet adopter is dead. Liz quickly learns that, despite her own
personal vetting, the man wasn’t who he claimed to be. In fact, she finds he was accused of killing his wife nearly twenty years ago.
Of course, Liz knows not everything is as it seems.
