Chronic Kidney Disease is a frequent complication of Diabetes Mellitus. Its early diagnosis decreases disease progression, improves quality of life and increases life expectancy.Objective: To determine the efficacy of an educational program to prevent CKD in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Conclusions: The educational program was effective in raising the level of information of type 2 diabetic patients to prevent CKD.
