Empowering Community Colleges To Build the Nation's Future is the result of more than one hundred community college CE's, thought leaders, and faculty's collaborative work over the past two years. The text provides research-based road-maps to assist institutions in implementing each of the seven recommendations fromthe 2012 Report of the 21st-Century Commission on the Future of Community Colleges: Reclaiming the American Dream–Community Colleges and the Nation's Future. This guideoutlines specific actions colleges must take to address the challenges and improve completion rates. Also explained are the "Next Big Things": a limited set of action priorities that will help guide AACC's national leadership for community colleges over the next three to five years.
