"I remember him walking away that night, and the ring he left behind."Lex Linton asked Anne to marry him eight years ago and she hasn't seen or heard from him since. She has given up all hope of ever being reunited with her lost love, when she receives an invitation from Linton Enterprises for an all expense paid vacation at Enigma, the resort for puzzle lovers everywhere. Unable to resist a challenge, she accepts.Lex is back, and more erotic than ever. But has the billionaire truly changed? Is a second chance in order? And can Anne resist his newfound sexiness, or will she drown in her desire?"I enjoyed this book immensely! Enigma is fantastic. The characters are loveable and intriguing and their relationship is heartwarming while still being rife with tension that leads up to a very satisfying payoff. Anne and Lex are a passionate and affectionate couple who feel very real despite the unusual setting. They have a strong emotional connection and their happily ever after is a joy to read. The puzzle-themed hotel was also very interesting and a fun backdrop to the romance. I look forward to reading more of Violet Moon's work in the future, and hopefully finding a Lex of my own. "--Elizabeth Williams, GoodReads, 5 stars."I just finished reading Violet Moon's Enigma and loved it. First off, the setting is very creative and unique: it's set at this puzzle-themed hotel and even though the romance is obviously the primary focus the hotel itself sounds like it would be paradise to stay at if it was real. The characters-Anne and Lex-are high school sweethearts who split on prom night and are reunited eight years later. Lex is generous and witty and absolutely charming. He's absurdly wealthy but philanthropic, and very respectful to Anne, although very alpha in the bedroom. Anne is clever and passionate and endearingly nerdy. She is strong-willed and kind-hearted and confident. The sexual tension between them is so thick you could cut it with a knife, but the couple has plenty of soft moments too. The love scenes are steamy and heart-felt simultaneously. The development of their relationship and its resolution are very satisfying. I particularly liked the emphasis on consent and role reversal. My only criticism is that it's a little short, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I just wish there was more of it! "--Ivory Butler, GoodReads
