From the Editors: This issue of EIR Online proceeds from Lyndon LaRouche's evaluation, in his May 16 webcast, that we have entered a transitional period, in which Obama is slated to fade from the scene, and the basis for a new era of global prosperity can be established (Feature). Of particular significance in this period, is LaRouche's highlighting of the potential roles of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, especially in light of comments made by the former President in Washington May 14. We recommend that you study this webcast closely for guidance as to how a successful transition can be organized, including LaRouche's four-point program.Several other developments coming together to shape a hopeful future are also featured. Under Economics, we highlight more on the Chinese Silk Road perspective, which now includes the Bering Strait tunnel. Under International, we provide our expert analysis of the Indian elections, which hold promise for further development of Asian economic cooperation. On the U.S. side, Jeffrey Steinberg re-views the progress of moves to finally get Obama out of office, and we give you a first-hand view of how Senate candidate Kesha Rogers is preparing the shock that could move us more rapidly into the post-Obama era.The obstacle to these hopeful dynamics, of course, remains the British financial empire, led by its Satanic Queen. Our feature on the long-term relationship between her son and presumptive heir Prince Charles and the terrorist-supporting Saudi kingdom will give you a surprising insight into some of the operations of that empire, and rein-force our assertion that it is the British Empire itself which is the great evil that must be destroyed, if mankind is to survive. In that light, we should note that, as we go to print, the British monarchy has once more opened attacks on organizations associated with Lyndon LaRouche, both in Germany and the United States. In a statement issued May 20, LaRouche stated that these attacks signal that the Queen and the British Empire are now going to attack LaRouche directly, and that the next stage of world war is now beginning. The assaults, which include sabotage of websites and preposterous legal charges, show hysteria on the part of the monarchy against the role LaRouche and his associates are playing-as in 1999, when a British magazine carried a cover feature with a picture of LaRouche next to the title "Shut This Man's Mouth," and quoted unnamed British sources claiming the monarchy was determined to do so.Indeed, this Empire is on the skids, and ripe to be destroyed.
