There has been a stigma placed on young women and girls who deal with "daddy issues" that they are often too afraid to admit or talk about the effects and trauma associated with it. For me I acted like the effect and trauma wasn't there until I tried to cross over into pursing a relationship with God. And it was there that I realized it was a gap filled with water hindering me from that relationship.
The gap represented that broken/fallen relationship with my daddy. The water represented every event, experience, trauma, and emotion that was connected to that gap. But through prayer and facing that trauma through the word of God, a bridge was established for me to cross into a Father and daughter relationship with my heavenly Father.
