There. Are about head of cattle and to head of small animals killed, weekly, in the vicinity of our 44th Street place, East River, New York city, from which we get the entire product of offal, blood and bone. We also receive bone from over 700 butcher shops in New York city, all of which is zollected daily and amounts to 500 to 800 barrels, which goes to form phosphates and ammonia in our fertilizers. When we are accumulating stock for spring or fall trade, it is not nu usual to have such refuse from over one hundred thousand ani mals in store ready for manipulation in the various formulas that we make.
