"He may be gone, but the legend of rock & roll's most notorious outlaw lives on in MVD's release of three complete concerts by bruised and bloodied rocker G.G. Allin. Presented in 1.33:1 full-frame, the image is as good as can be expected for video footage that was over a decade old at the time of release, and the flailing camerawork will have viewers ducking to dodge flailing limbs and flying projectiles as if they were standing right next to the unpredictable Murder Junkies front man. Though audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, the rough mix is perfect for viewers who want to feel as if they're right in the middle of the action. Though this release only offers one extra feature, it's certainly one that fans will want to see. Clocking in at 15 minutes, an interview with Allin's mother offers notable insight into both his and brother Merle's upbringing. The seemingly suburbanized middle-class mom obviously took the delinquent duo's teenage antics with a grain of salt, with the rebellious side of the corruptive brothers likely coming from their eccentric father (see Hated: G.G. Allin & the Murder Junkies for more on that particular subject)."
