I started imagining I was Granddad in his youth, getting glammed out for a night on Sunset Strip.
Sixteen-year old big-haired glam rocker Seth Von Miere, the wayward grandson of former '80s metal legend/hotel owner Nicholas Von Miere, flees the scene of a gruesome crime he committed near Sunset Strip with his equally-glammed out best friend, Foxy. The two fugitives take the next flight out and go into hiding in the futuristic Red City, the sleaziest, most lawless society in the universe. Along with glamalicious twins Erik and Axel Larsson and newcomer Judson Shrike Jr, this very motley crew rocks out as the Sunset Strip Sinners, partying and living it up like there's no tomorrow. As time goes by, Seth finds himself becoming more and more like his sociopathic father, who is a fugitive once again after being broken out of prison.
Meanwhile, Nicholas chooses a hotel janitor named Olivia to be a model in his fashion show. She is sickly obsessed with Axel, who makes the mistake of inviting her over one night. Shortly after, Olivia incorrectly thinks Axel is dating Judson's mom, Sally. With the help of her sinister landlord, Tom, Olivia begins relentlessly stalking Sally, determined to take back what is "hers." Seth and the Sinners all move in with Sally to protect her. But they soon learn it will take more than leather and hairspray to ward off the two psychopaths before Sally ends up another one of Tom's victims.
Now in his seventies, Nicholas spends his days doting on his three-year old granddaughter, Charlotte, and rockin' out with his band, Volcano. But he is also faced with the decision of sending Seth to jail or standing beside his own flesh and blood. Plus, he is tormented by his feelings for former '80s metal super groupie and sleazy memoirist, newly widowed Paula Sinclair.
