Ruth grew up on a farm, milked cows at nine years of age with her dad, drove the tractor to pick up bales and loved all the farming work. Upon graduation from Seminary, she married her husband, Bill, and they have been together fifty-seven years raising four daughters, two permanent foster children, and teaching in private Christian schools in four different states in the east. They are now semi -retired living in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Their last Pastor passed with Covid in September of 2021. Taking notes from his sermons, Ruth decided to write a book on what she learned during the last thirteen years of attending church. He was a very special man, saved at 27 years of age, and with his family started a church in 1983. God blessed this humble man who saw folk getting changed by the gospel, join God's church, and make a difference in the community. The book is a tribute to the Frank Painter family and Antioch Independent Bible Church.
